An inline flow meter that reports every litre.

Titanium shaft, stainless steel fittings, food approved, and a transparent top so you can see it working. Two sizes cover 0.1 to 15 litres a minute.

What makes it different

Most flow meters tell the person standing next to them.

An inline flow meter usually ends at a dial, or at a pulse output somebody still has to wire into something. This one ends in your software. Every litre through the line is counted and attributed to the machine it went through, so you read consumption per site and per machine without anyone going to look.

That is also why it is built the way it is. A meter nobody visits has to survive years in a line unattended, which is what the titanium shaft and the reinforced housing are for, and the transparent top means a technician can confirm flow by eye on a later visit without opening anything.

The Flowmeter is the sensor and the Beam is the transmitter: the two connect with an industrial M8 screw connector. If you already run Beams, meters can be ordered on their own, in either size, without new transmitters.

Installation

Inline on the supply, no new wiring.

Cut into the supply line at the fitting that matches your size, connect the M8 to the Beam, and it starts counting.

  1. 01

    Install the flow meter

Mount the flow meter on the outlet of the filter head. It ships with standard 3/8" or 3/4" threads that fit directly onto most water filters.

  2. 02

Connect Beam and the flow meter

Insert the flow meter into the Beam electronics box. The box powers on automatically and starts joining the IoT network. The device runs on its own network with a built-in battery, so no WiFi or power connection is needed.

  3. 03

    Let it connect

After the loud beep stops, the device joins our network on its own. When you hear four short beeps, it is connected and everything is running smoothly.

  4. 04

    That's it

The device is now connected and working as it should. Every time water is used, for example for a cup of coffee, it sends data that we receive and process in Backoffice.

How is this different from a standard water flow meter?

A standard water flow meter gives you a reading where it sits, on a dial someone has to walk up to. This is an inline flow meter with no dial at all. The reading leaves the machine and lands in your software, so the number is useful without anyone standing in front of it.

What pipe sizes and flow ranges does it cover?

Two versions. The 3/8" covers 0.1 to 5 litres a minute, the 3/4" covers 0.5 to 15. Between them they handle coffee machines, dishwashers, filter lines, ice makers and taps.

Is it approved for drinking water and food?

Yes. Food approved, with a titanium shaft and stainless steel fittings, so it is rated for the lines it sits in rather than adapted to them.

Can I read the meter itself?

There is no dial, and that is deliberate. The transparent top is for visual inspection; the reading goes to software so you can see it without being on site.

Does it need a Beam?

Yes. The Flowmeter is the sensor and the Beam is the transmitter, connected with an industrial M8 screw connector. One Beam handles the machine it is fitted to.

Can I order meters without Beams?

Yes. Partners already running Beams order Flowmeters on their own, in either size.

Can a Beam read a meter we already have fitted?

Yes. Beam takes readings from third-party meters and sensors too, so a mixed fleet does not need standardising on our hardware first.
