Which Beam do we need?
Beam 4.0 measures flow and temperature. Choose Beam 4.0 Pro if you also need level, or conductivity for water quality monitoring, with pressure coming soon. Both use the same software and the same network.
Is the software a separate licence?
No. The equipment maintenance software comes with every Beam: Backoffice and Field Office. The Basic tier, with core monitoring, is included at no charge; Essential and Premium add service automation and richer sensor data for a small monthly fee per Beam. Nothing is licensed separately from the hardware.
Do we have to standardise our fleet on your hardware?
No. Beam takes readings from third-party meters and sensors, whatever brand fitted them, so the equipment already on site keeps working. The alternative, telemetry tied to one machine brand, is what makes a mixed fleet expensive to run.
Does the flow meter fit our water filters?
Most of them, directly: it ships with standard 3/8" or 3/4" threads that fit straight onto most water filter heads. For anything else we also offer fittings, so tell us what you run and we will send the right ones.
Does Beam detect leaks?
Yes. On every line with a Flowmeter, water that keeps running when it should have stopped is flagged as a leak and becomes a task. See water leak detection for what it sees and what it does not.
How is the connectivity?
Every Beam comes with its own SIM card on a mobile IoT network, so there is nothing to order or insert and nothing to set up on the customer's Wi-Fi. We have full coverage in most countries. If you are rolling out in a specific country, reach out and we will confirm coverage before you order.
